Architectural lighting is part of Sammode’s identity. Since it was founded almost a century ago, the company has provided lighting for production sites, offices, coworking spaces, shops, schools, universities and homes.
From the mid-1980s onwards, as France began to de-industrialise, architects began to make Sammode’s industrial expertise their own, helping to convert production buildings into cultural facilities such as the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris.
This new step into the world of architecture is taking shape with another emblematic Parisian project, a major turning point for the company: the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (BNF), where no fewer than 18,000 architectural luminaires in 25 different models will be installed. Design, efficiency and durability are the essence of our luminaires, all designed and manufactured in France or, in some cases, in Germany.
