A simple yet elegant suspended light fitting
The Rivole suspended light fitting can illuminate contemporary art galleries in a museum, the waiting room of a lawyer’s office, the outdoor areas around a theatre or media library, the indoor areas of a metro station, pedestrian routes over an outdoor walkway, the façade of a public building, a bar counter, a luxury hotel patio, etc.
The Rivoli luminaire was initially designed by Normal Studio for the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (Decorative arts museum) in Paris, but has managed to make the leap from contemporary art galleries to more traditional Sammode sites. This long and narrow elegant luminaire can be used for many applications. Whether installed on a wall or ceiling or as a suspended light fitting, either indoors or outdoors, this model lights up any space with the intricate patterns on the louvre.
The Paname collection is a redesigned version of Sammode’s signature tubular luminaire and part of a contemporary range launched in partnership with Normal Studio. The 4 metal housings cover the perforated lace work body inspired by Paris, reputed as the city of light. The final product is effective lighting with a great look. Ideal to add a final touch to any type of architectural project.
For more than 10 years, the two founders of Normal Studio, Jean-François Dingjian and Eloi Chafaï, have tried out options at every scale: from furniture design to architecture and staging. This pair of Parisian designers has been responsible for managing the artistic side of Sammode luminaires since 2014. Their remit: stick to the DNA of industrial tubes, but combine it with an architectural finish.
The Rivoli leads the way for the rest of the Paname collection. This model was especially designed by Normal Studio to light up the contemporary art galleries of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. The stylish elegant tube is housed in a perforated black louvre decorated with dynamic waves. This original designer luminaire will add a final touch to any site, whether off or on.
Designed and manufactured in France, keeping supply chains short and using durable components and materials, primarily sourced in Europe. Each luminaire is manufactured, assembled and inspected by our teams with full traceability.

Unlike the disposable world we live in, Sammode lights are designed as modular systems. New technology can be integrated in existing fixtures: simply replace the outdated parts!
